She drew this, in a language of her own invention as a puzzle for you. Pretend like you’re cracking some knight’s templar code in a Dan Brown novel or something. That last symbol is } and it’s mirror is {. Made by Lexy with ❤️. Note from ProfNinja: after playtesting I decide to photoshop in a very subtle hint, see if you can notice it…
Opening the image, we can see many different symbols that seems to be handwritten. My first immediate thought was to sub in every unique/alternating symbol with a letter and solve it as a cryptogram. This took me forever!!!!!
Here is my transcript (very scuffed)
After mapping each number to a letter, we get ABCD EFGHIJK LMNOFDPDQ BROMKK SBFP NRDBFK, JID AODDT UGVVGFH JIDGO KBGVK, EGFHQMSK UBO ADIGFQ, IMWGFH JM XGF JYD QBP LNVP 100 LQRJU{M4NE_QP1BB3N_L34T3P_LUXM3P}
Using quipqiup we get: BAXE KNIGHTS JOURNEYED ACROSS MANY UCEANS, THE BREEZ FILLING THEIR SAILS, KINGDOMS FAR BEHIND, HOPING TO WIN TVE DAY JULY 100 JDCTF{O4UK_DY1AA3U_J34Z3Y_JFWO3Y}
I do not have an accurate transcription, however I decide to wing it. I know LQRJU is UDCTF so I told quipqiup that and it gave me: BAXE KNIGHTS UOPRNEYED ACROSS MANY PCEANS, THE BREEZ FILLING THEIR SAILS, KINGDOMS FAR BEHIND, HOVING TO WIN TJE DAY UPLY 100 UDCTF{O4PK_DY1AA3P_U34Z3Y_UFWO3Y}
The hint at the bottom right tells us that the flag is encrypted with a caesar cipher, decrypting it with 7 to the right gives: H4ID_WR1TT3I_N34S3R_NYPH3R
We can make an educated guess that it says “hand written caesar cypher”. So, by keeping the leet, we get: UDCTF{H4ND_WR1TT3N_CE4S3R_CYPH3R} and that is our flag!
Final flag: UDCTF{H4ND_WR1TT3N_CE4S3R_CYPH3R}
